The initial inspection of this property revealed a crowded and over-grown landscape surrounding a mixture of aging hardscape materials with a dis-jointed arrangement. Not very comfortable for sitting, swimming or drinking.

Create a modern yet rustic outdoor living and entertainment area by enhancing the existing elements and adding new features such as an outdoor fireplace.

The property has a great, quiet setting nestled next to a small farm with rolling hills in the distance and we felt it very important to exploit the natural beauty. We removed much of the over-grown plant materials on the back side of the property to open the space to light and amazing views. The existing topography allowed for a new retaining/sitting wall that incorporates the new fireplace and creates an awesome back-drop to the pool and patio. The position of the fireplace was crucial and allows for views from virtually every usable space, including inside the house but most importantly the pool and bar. Based on the scale of the project – nearly 3,000 square feet of patio, we decided on larger pavers with earthy, natural tones with a black cobble stone border to add a twist of modern. The addition of low volt lighting and a simple bubbling rock water feature where the perfect finishing touches to a great new outdoor entertainment area.
