Having previously completed a large scale project at this residence, the challenges where known and clear – the property sits on the side of a large wooded hill with very limited access. A difficult task logistically for sure but a great opportunity to complete a project some would view as impossible.
CLIENT VISION
Install a small fiberglass pool in close proximity to previously constructed screened-in covered patio and water feature. Hopeful amenities included a raised spa with waterfall and natural looking “lagoon” appearance with real stone and boulders.
SOLUTION
Every aspect of this project needed to be planned to extreme precision, including the size of the pool in relation to the available space and the size of the crane needed to safely import the pool shell. The existing site allowed for the pool to be nestled into the base of a moderate slope providing an elevated position for the spa to be raised a few feet above the pool and surrounded by boulders to create a natural feel. We incorporated other natural stone elements such as large irregular PA Bluestone slabs to complement the existing stone features in the backyard. The end result was an organic outdoor living space complete with multiple water features, multiple fire features, a comfortable covered patio and a custom outdoor kitchen and pizza oven.
